Women’s singles Wimbledon winner Elena Rybakina thanked her compatriots, saying that she will arrive in Kazakhstan tomorrow and will hold several meetings in the capital.
“I’m going back to Kazakhstan, of course. They supported me a lot. We made history together. It’s just amazing. I just found out that I’m going to meet President there, and, yes, I said I still cannot believe what’s happening around me,” said Wimbledon 2022 Winner Elena Rybakina.
It should be noted that Elena Rybakina turned down the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation award, the organization’s Vice President Yuriy Polskiy announced. The tennis player plans to donate most of the prize money to charity and support juniors.
