The exhibition entitled ‘The City of Dream’ was opened in the Museum of the First President of Kazakhstan to mark the Day of the Kazakh Capital. The city’s development from the moment of its construction to the present day is represented in pictures. This exhibition is the result of a comprehensive study of the history of the capital based on materials from the personal archive of Nursultan Nazarbayev and the museum collection of the Library of the First President of Kazakhstan. The exhibition is divided into sections such as ‘The New Capital’ and ‘The Center of Diplomacy and Peacekeeping’. The showcased exhibits unveil the project ‘Kazakhstan’s Way’, which was launched especially to mark the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence. By the end of the year, similar events dedicated to all regions of the country will be held in the exhibition area of the historic building.
“The ‘Kazakhstan’s Way’ project is a journey of our country within 30 years. It is a long period of development, which is impossible to put in a short story. Nevertheless, today the capital has become a driving force for the prosperity of the whole Kazakhstan and the growth of other cities. It is a metropolis built in just a few years. Nur-Sultan is known all over the world, and to date it is rightfully considered the capital of the world,” said Yersultan Bekturganov, Head of Special Projects Service, Library of First President of Kazakhstan.
