A student project competition dedicated to green logistics and the digitalization of the sector was held in Astana. It brought together students from both Kazakh universities and higher education institutions across Central Asia. The initiative aims to support innovative solutions and develop the region’s transport and logistics industry. The team from Maqsut Narikbayev University won the competition. The Kazakh-German University and the Kyrgyz State Technical University also placed among the top three.
«The sector in the Kyrgyz Republic is developing rapidly, which is why new faculties are being opened to train specialists. At our university, for example, a dedicated faculty of logistics has been established. We have also brought a waterwheel – a useful tool for advancing green technologies in the logistics sector,» noted Begimai Mamaeva, Lecturer from the Kyrgyz State Technical University.
The competition was held as part of the Youth Logistics Forum. The event has been taking place in the capital for the third consecutive year. This year, it brought together more than 100 students and industry professionals from Kazakhstan and other countries in the region. In addition to startup project presentations, panel sessions were also organized with the participation of leading logistics experts.
«The Institute is
developing new standards in the region, integrating them into both training and
academic curricula. As a result, our specialists are becoming increasingly in
demand on the global stage,» said Nurlan Igembayev, President of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Kazakhstan.
