Astana has been
recognized as one of the safest cities in the world. According to the
international ranking by Numbeo, the Kazakh capital entered the TOP 100 in this
category, taking 81st place. The country improved its position by 24 places
over the year. In addition to the capital, Almaty was also included in the
ranking, placing 195th. A total of 263 cities worldwide participated in the
safety study. The leaders of the list and the safest cities in 2025 were Abu
Dhabi, Doha, and Dubai. When compiling the ranking, not only the crime rate was
considered, but also residents’ sense of safety and the quality of urban
infrastructure.
