There is no shortage of sugar in Kazakhstan. It is planned to produce 37,000 tonnes of the product this month, the country’s Ministry of Agriculture reported. Currently, the stabilization funds of local executive bodies are selling sugar at reduced prices. In the regions, it is sold in limited quantities in order to not let resellers speculate. Nevertheless, sugar at a market price is freely available in all other outlets. It should be noted that the product is being made at domestic factories non-stop. There are about 27,000 tonnes of sugar stocks in the country to date.
“Food Corporation” Joint Stock Company is engaged in the supply of sugar to the domestic market. With the purpose of prompt organization of the supply of products to the regions, the Ministry together with interested parties supply goods non-stop by rail transport throughout Kazakhstan,” said Damir Yegizbayev, Press Secretary of Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture.
