The play ‘Aliya’, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the
Great Victory and the 100th anniversary of Hero of the Soviet Union Aliya
Moldagulova, was presented in Astana. The performance was made possible through
a joint project of the Kazakh National Guard and the Gorky Drama Theater. For
the first time, military personnel took the stage alongside actors. This unique
collaboration immersed the audience in the atmosphere of a heroic era, where a
young female sniper, despite her fragility, demonstrated unwavering spirit and
became a symbol of courage in history.
«Last year, our theater’s management made the decision to
stage a play about the Soviet heroine. After all, sometimes we begin to forget
our heroes. That’s how this wonderful play came to life. In our performance, the
audience not only laughs and rejoices with our characters but also cries and
feels deep compassion. This is probably the most important spiritual aspect of
human life and humanity as a whole, it is the most essential thing that exists
in our world,» said the play’s director Igor Sedin.
«I would like to pay tribute to this girl of boundless
strength, love, and energy - a person whose happiness was taken away, yet who
fought until the very end, until her last breath, for her happiness and for
love. In her final letters, she specifically asked that her nephews be taught
to love people. These are profound, powerful words that have left an indelible
mark on my heart,» shared the lead role performer and actress at the Gorky
Russian Drama Theater Aizhuldyz Baglanova.
«This evening left a deep impression on me. The 1.5 hours flew
by in an instant. I truly enjoyed everything. Many thanks to our National Guard
command for such a gift, for such a wonderful and unforgettable evening. I was
truly impressed. The actors on stage delivered a stunning performance,» said Zhannur
Kassymova, service member of the National Guard, Kazakh Ministry of Internal
Affairs.
