The 13th theatrical
season has opened at Astana Opera. The first production presented to
audiences was the landmark national opera Abai by Akhmet Zhubanov and
Latif Khamidi. Among the spectators were participants and jury members of the
Silk Way Star project, who also had the opportunity to meet the theater’s
creative team - including opera soloists, the choir, ballet, and symphony
orchestra. International guests praised the artists’ and musicians’ exceptional
performance skills, as well as the stage design and decorations.
«This is the first time I come to the opera house. But
I think the singers are very, very good and also the orchestra, the conductor.
And also, the stage, the whole stage, everything moves very smoothly. It’s
quite a big show. I like it,» said Hong Bing, Silk Way Star jury member.
The project participants also attended the openings of
the concert and hockey seasons. At Qazaqconcert, they were introduced to the
works of renowned Kazakh composers and enjoyed performances by both established
stars and rising talents of the national pop scene. At Barys Arena, they
watched an exciting game in which Astana’s Barys defeated Chelyabinsk’s Traktor,
and shared their genuine excitement with our team.
«Honestly, it’s my very first time at a hockey game,
and I expect it to be really cool and full of energy,» said Madinabonu Adilova, Silk Way Star contestant
from Uzbekistan.
«I’m really excited about this hockey game, and of
course I’m cheering for Barys. Many thanks for organizing such a wonderful
cultural program - I also enjoyed Astana Opera, the opera Abai,
and the concert,» said
