Students from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and China
showcased digital solutions in agriculture, advanced technologies for
agribusiness and tourism development, as well as innovations in biology and
other sciences at an international innovation competition in Astana. This was
the Central Asian stage of the competition, with the final round set to take
place in China. The Chinese government has been organizing this competition for
young people for 10 years. Traditionally, the winners receive comprehensive
support to successfully launch their projects and bring them to market. As part
of the competition, a China-Central Asia youth camp was also held at the Kazakh
Agrotechnical Research University, bringing together more than 100 young
scientists. The events are taking place ahead of the upcoming Central Asia -
China summit, which Astana will host next week.
«Our students are already able to confidently present our
startups, participate, and observe. In addition, there will be collaboration
and interaction with students from China and other Asian countries. Looking
ahead, we hope that our startups will enter the international market. We are
actively engaged in international cooperation with China and other countries.
For example, we have a joint Kazakh-Chinese laboratory,» said Zhanna
Bulkhairova, Director of the Science and Innovation Department at the Kazakh Agrotechnical
Research University.
