The integration of artificial intelligence into Kazakhstan’s secondary education system is a strategic direction that reflects the priorities of human capital development and innovation enshrined in the country’s new Constitution. As President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted, modern technologies are already radically transforming all spheres of life and directly shaping the future of humanity. That is why keeping pace with progress is so important. International experts share this view as well. Among them is renowned futurist and geo-economic strategist Olaf J. Groth, who shared his perspective on the issue.
«In school systems today we apply a very industrial-era
mindset to education, where we say one size fits all because we need to pump as
many students to the system as possible. All of that can be changed by having
AI. Learn how a student digests new information and how they convert it in
their heads into true insights. It’s no longer industrial-era but what I have
called cognitive era learning that is more individualized, more appropriate,» noted Olaf J. Groth, futurist and professional faculty
at Haas School of Business.
