The Kazakhstanskaya Pravda newspaper has published an article by Russian President Vladimir Putin. In the article titled Russia – Kazakhstan: Alliance in the Heart of Eurasia, Vladimir Putin shared his assessment of the current state and prospects of bilateral relations, calling our country one of Russia’s key allies and strategic partners in Eurasia. Special attention is given to economic cooperation. The two states are major trade partners. Over the past 30 years, Russia has invested nearly $30 billion in Kazakhstan’s economy. Around 70 major joint projects are being implemented in our country in the automotive, heavy engineering, chemical industry, and technological sectors. The article also mentions the construction of Kazakhstan’s first nuclear power plant with the participation of Rosatom, as well as the first launch of the Russian-Kazakh prospective medium-lift rocket Soyuz-5/Sunkar. Both strategic projects are actively being implemented and have already moved into the practical stage, confirming the strengthening of bilateral cooperation. Collaboration is also actively developing in digital technologies and educational programs. In conclusion, Vladimir Putin noted that Russia is ready to further develop multifaceted allied relations with Kazakhstan.
«I would like to emphasize that it is with
deep respect that Russia treats strong and prosperous Kazakhstan, with its
effective political system supported by the nation, and a stable and
fast-growing economy. Just a short time ago, your Republic adopted a new,
forward-looking Constitution, which is in keeping with the spirit of the times.
Citizens of Kazakhstan voted in its favour and thus expressed their
large-majority support for President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s policy toward
consolidation of state institutions, comprehensive modernisation of the
country, and sustainable social, economic, spiritual and moral development,» noted Vladimir
Putin, President of the Russian Federation.
