President Kassym-Jomart
Tokayev has identified digitalization and artificial intelligence as key
drivers of Kazakhstan’s development. In his state-of-the-nation address, he emphasized
the need to implement these technologies across the economy, social sphere, and
public administration. This focus goes beyond the accelerated digitalization of
sectors such as agriculture and geological exploration - it also involves
creating a new ecosystem where decisions are guided by big data and precise
forecasts. According to Members of Parliament, this emphasis reflects the
country's strategic course toward a technological breakthrough.
«Today, the theme of
digitalization and the integration of AI across all areas of life ran as a
common thread throughout the President’s state-of-the-nation address. These
efforts aim to enhance the efficiency of public administration, collect and
analyze data, and, based on verified figures, develop strategies for the future
growth of both industry and the social sector,» said
Senate member Evgeny Bolgert.
President Tokayev called
for intensifying both the country’s digital development and efforts to attract
investment. He instructed a full overhaul of the system to support these goals
and clearly outlined the priority areas and volumes for investment.
«A full review of today’s
Address shows that the President covered every sector. The main priorities have
now been outlined, and we will use them to guide our work,» said
Senate member Bekbolat Orynbekov.
