The results of Kazakhstan’s main Unified National Test (UNT) have been
announced. More than 233,000 school graduates took the exam this year. Most sat
the test in the state language, while around 400 chose to take it in English.
Engineering programs continue to attract strong interest among prospective
students, making the Mathematics-Physics combination the most popular choice of
specialized subjects. The national average score was 69 points, while two
applicants achieved the maximum score of 140. Next comes the competition for
educational grants. The application period ends on July 20, and the list of
grant recipients will be published by August 10.
«After
each UNT, a topic-by-topic analysis is uploaded to applicants’ personal
accounts to help them prepare for the next test. It helps students identify
gaps in their knowledge, enabling parents, teachers, and the applicants
themselves to improve on their previous UNT results,» said
Nauzhan Didarbekova, Deputy Director of the National Testing
Center.
