The harvesting campaign has begun across Kazakhstan. Farmers in the Almaty,
West Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Kostanai, Kyzylorda, North Kazakhstan, and Turkistan
regions, as well as in the Zhetisu region and the city of Shymkent, have
already started harvesting. Early results show positive trends. The pace of
harvesting is ahead of last year's, while yields of major crops have increased
significantly. To date, 634,000 tonnes of grain have been harvested, with an average
yield of 20.6 centners per hectare — nearly 1.7 times higher than during the same period last year. Wheat
and barley have shown particularly notable growth. Farmers entered the
harvesting season fully prepared, with the necessary agricultural machinery in
place. The government has allocated more than 400,000 tonnes of subsidized
diesel fuel, which will help ensure that fieldwork is completed within the
optimal timeframe.
