Two institutes are planning to conduct public opinion polls for the presidential elections in Kazakhstan. The Public Opinion Research Institute and Amanat Party’s Public Policy Institute have submitted corresponding notifications to the country’s Central Election Commission (CEC). It reminds that the public opinion polls can be conducted by legal entities registered in accordance with the country’s legislation with at least five years of experience in this field. They are required to notify the CEC, indicating the specialists who will be conducting the interviews, which regions the public opinion polls will be conducted at, and which methods of analysis will be used. The CEC also drew attention to the fact that it is not allowed to publish the results of polls and forecasts in support of candidates or political parties on the Internet within five days prior to and on the Election Day itself.
