Turkmenistan took part in the 11th World Orchestra Festival,
held in Vienna - the musical capital of Europe. The country’s State Symphony
Orchestra captivated audiences with performances of works by Franz Schubert and
Astor Piazzolla, along with a musical arrangement of the folk melody «This is
Paradise» for dutar and orchestra. Their artistry once again impressed the
international jury. Last year, the orchestra had already made its mark in the
Austrian capital, winning the 10th World Orchestra Festival, «One Future.»
Turkmenistan’s participation in this prestigious cultural event highlights the
high level of training and professionalism of the nation’s musical ensembles.
This year’s festival brought together over 2,500 young musicians and more than
400 orchestras from over 40 countries around the world.
