Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will open joint plant for the production of household appliances. Investors from Uzbekistan are interested in manufacturing gas stoves and water heaters in an industrial park of Turkistan. To date, all the communications were installed in a special economic zone, announced governor of the region Umirzak Shukeyev during his visit to Tashkent. He also added that the cost of the household appliances produced at the joint plant will be much cheaper than of the imported ones.
“This is a long discussed project. Now it is time to sign a contract. Within this agreement, up to a million gas stoves will be produced in Turkistan and sold in Kazakhstan. Then we plan to distribute the appliances in Russia,” said Umirzak Shukeyev, Governor of Turkistan Region.
