Kazakhstan will begin to restore oil production and exports to their previous levels in October. Repair works at the Caspian Pipeline Consortium are planned to be completed in mid-October, the Kazakh Energy Ministry reported. The oil production at Kashagan field is expected to resume closer to the twentieth of October. The oil volumes are planned to be brought to the previous level of 400,000 barrels per day. According to experts, the main reasons for the decline in production were the field malfunction and scheduled repairs at Karashaganak oil field. In August, the figures only slightly exceeded five million tonnes of oil.
