Turkish family travels to Kazakhstan for World Nomad Games on converted bus

A Turkish family has embarked on a journey from Ankara to Astana in a converted motorhome to attend the fifth World Nomad Games. Carpenter Burak Duran, clinical psychologist Idil Duran and their two-year-old son have temporarily left their city life to dedicate themselves to promoting the heritage of Turkic countries. The family will cover about 5,400 kilometers, traveling first from Türkiye to Georgia, then to Russia, and through Tatarstan to reach the Kazakh capital.

«We did not miss any news about the World Nomad Games and immediately decided to attend when we found out it would be held in Kazakhstan. After reaching out to the organizers and gathering all the details, we embarked on our trip. Even if we don’t compete as athletes, we plan to ride horses. This event holds great significance for our brotherly peoples, so I want to show and tell others how important it is,» shared Burak Duran.
