Kazakhstan’s trade turnover with the Conference
on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) member states grew
five percent to nearly $82 billion last year. CICA participants invested over
$1.5 billion in the Kazakh economy. Cooperation between Kazakh businesses and
CICA countries continues to grow, encompassing sectors such as agriculture,
mechanical engineering, logistics, medicine, education, IT, tourism, and others.
Trade relations are constantly expanding, export volumes are rising, and joint
entrepreneurship is flourishing. These achievements were highlighted today at
the seventh plenary session of the CICA Business Council in Astana.
«To date, over 36,000 companies with
capital participation from CICA member states operate in Kazakhstan. In 2023,
investments from CICA countries in Kazakhstan reached $1.6 billion,» said Raimbek
Batalov, chairman of the presidium of the national chamber of entrepreneurs.
The introduction of digital technologies
into business processes is driving the expansion of trade and economic
relations. Kazakhstan has achieved notable success, ranking 10th in the UN
Online Service Index (OSI) alongside global leaders such as South Korea.
Additionally, it secured 24th place among 193 countries in the UN global
e-government ranking and first among developing landlocked countries.
