Tourism development in Kazakhstan: Industry attracts tourists and investors

Kazakhstan is attracting growing interest from international travelers as an emerging tourism destination, drawing the attention of major global tour operators. HiSEAS International is opening its first Central Asian office in Almaty, expanding its network of more than 45 offices worldwide and making Kazakhstan a new destination on the global tourism map.

«We can see rising interest after so many different exhibitions, roadshows, we finally see the traffic is increasing this way, not only to Kazakhstan, but to other Central Asian destinations. So I think that’s the right moment we have to capture, and to use the momentum to bring as many tours as possible into Kazakhstan or overall on to Central Asian destination tours. Right now we are looking at Asian markets, followed then by European and Middle East destinations,» said Kairat Sadvakassov, Strategic Advisor for Central Asia of HiSEAS International.

The Almaty office of the major international tour operator will serve as a gateway for travelers to the region. Kazakhstan will gain additional appeal with the launch of a direct Almaty-Tokyo flight next March, along with existing routes operated by the national air carrier and other airlines. Another advantage is that Kazakhstan offers a variety of tourism options, including ecotourism, which is currently popular. The country has 14 national parks with unique flora and fauna. According to Kairat Sadvakassov, global demand for authentic experiences aligns closely with what Kazakhstan can provide. Experts believe that HiSEAS’s presence in Kazakhstan not only marks a new stage in tourism development but also signs an important message to foreign investor confidence in the region.
