As President Tokayev highlights, the country is entering one of the most important stages of its political transformation. He noted that the work on the text of the Basic Law was carried out with exceptional care and public involvement, with around 12,000 proposals considered. The President writes that institutional reforms are aimed at developing the state governance system and renewing personnel. He also highlighted citizens’ rights and freedoms, as well as the expansion of their participation in key decision-making processes. The Head of State also focused on Kazakhstan’s investment appeal and the necessity of continuing reforms. The article also highlights the country’s level of development: Kazakhstan is among the world’s 50 largest economies, ranks in the top 30 in digitalization of government services, and possesses significant reserves of oil and gas, critical minerals, and agricultural products.
