Smart Cargo: border crossing time to be reduced to 30 minutes

Border crossing time in Kazakhstan will be reduced to 30 minutes thanks to the introduction of the Smart Cargo digital platform. The system provides instant access to cargo data via a QR code and automatically verifies documents. Overall, according to the relevant ministry, freight transportation processing in the country has been fully automated. Additionally, the e-Kolik system, which integrates all modes of transport, enables the forecasting of transport flows and proactive management of the sector.

«A unified intelligent transport system, e-Kolik, is being developed. The platform is being built on the basis of QazTech and will integrate all modes of transport. This will enable data collection and processing, traffic flow forecasting, and automated decision-making. According to global estimates, the transport sector is one of the largest generators of data,» Kazakh Transport Minister Nurlan Sauranbayev noted.

Kazakhstan digitizes agricultural sector

The country’s agricultural sector is shifting to real-time digital monitoring. The Grain Consortium of Kazakhstan has already moved to a unified digital production management system. The holding has implemented an international satellite monitoring system NDVI. AI analyzes the entire cycle – from sowing to harvesting. The adoption of digital solutions in the agro-industrial sector is resulting in higher yields and cost optimization. A dedicated platform, e-APK, is also currently under development.
