New opportunities for agricultural producers. In Kazakhstan, 50 percent insurance premiums will be subsidized to support the agro-industrial complex, the country’s Minister of Agriculture Saparkhan Omarov announced. International insurance companies that provide guaranteed payments in such cases have already been involved, he said. In addition, insurance for crop production, and, for the first time, cattle insurance, was previously approved. All these processes are now fully automated. The volume of state support for the sector was increased to 366 billion tenge (US$855.1 million). From now on, all crop subsidies are subject to uniform rules.
