State scholarship awarded to artistic and literary figures in Kazakhstan

75 Kazakh literary and artistic figures have been awarded a state scholarship in the field of culture. State Counselor Erlan Karin presented the scholarship to Asanali Ashimov, Ilya Zhakanov, Bibigul Tulegenova, Nurgali Nusipzhan, Tolen Abdik, and others. State support was also provided to young talents, including Cannes Film Festival laureate Samal Yeslyamova, ballet dancer Tatyana Ten, and opera soloist Maksat Samatov. Notably, this annual scholarship reflects the state’s support and appreciation for cultural figures who have contributed to the development and global promotion of Kazakh art. It also facilitates the realization of new ideas and creative projects.

«Art educates people, forming moral consciousness and influencing the best human qualities. That is why people need it. The true wealth of a society lies not in its industrial output but in a more valuable indicator – the spiritual richness of its citizens,» said People’s Writer of Kazakhstan Tolen Abdik.

«It is a great honor for me to be here among the distinguished figures who have made an invaluable contribution to the development of Kazakhstan’s culture. This high award is also a significant motivation for me — to not stop at what has been achieved, to continue developing, and to contribute to the advancement of our culture,» shared Tatyana Ten, leading soloist of the Astana Ballet theatre.
