State Counsellor: Kazakhstan declares itself a technologically advanced nation of the future

Kazakh State Counsellor Erlan Karin commented on President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s state-of-the-nation address, noting that its central theme is comprehensive digitalization and the widespread adoption of artificial intelligence. The President set the task of rapidly introducing digitalization and AI tools across various sectors of the economy. Karin said these initiatives will be consolidated into a new National Digital Development Strategy. He emphasized that Kazakhstan is becoming one of the first countries globally to implement such systemic, institutional measures in this field, thereby positioning itself as a technologically advanced nation of the future. He also described the focus on digital transformation and the adoption of AI as a new national idea.
