A large-scale project has been launched in the Turkistan region. The construction of a large ski resort has begun there. It is being built in the picturesque Kaskasu Gorge, which unites eight snow-covered slopes suitable for a ski resort. According to the regional governor’s office, skiing runs, cableways, chairlifts, hotels, restaurants, a water park, an alpine village, as well as play, sports and training centers, will be located at an altitude of 1,880 to 3,155 meters above sea level. The Kaskasu Resort will be the largest in Kazakhstan.
“There are high voltage lines along the road. They start from the city of Lengir. The distance to the tourist base, to the tourist recreation center, is about 40 kilometers. Besides, as you can already see, the preparation of the access road has also been made,” said Omar Zhankalov, Head of Entrepreneurship Department, Tole Bi district, Turkistan region.
