A delegation of the European
Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs will visit Kazakhstan on August 21, the
Kazakh Foreign Ministry reports. The members are supposed to meet with the country’s
State Counsellor, members of the Mazhilis, a Lower House of the Kazakh
Parliament, the Commissioner for Human Rights, and the leadership of a number
of government agencies. According to the ministry, the parties will exchange
views on the implementation of the European Union-Kazakhstan Enhanced
Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (EPCA) during the talks. The document
covers 29 areas of interaction, including visa facilitation, cooperation in the
field of critical raw materials, climate change, and green energy.
