Tomorrow, the
long-awaited finale of the first international music competition, Silk Way
Star, will air live on the Jibek Joly/Silk Way TV channel. This is one of the
largest vocal projects uniting the countries of the Silk Road. Seven finalists,
whose voices have already captivated millions of viewers, will compete for the
title of the best of the best: Malaysia’s Yazmin Aziz, Avtandil Abeslamidze
from Georgia, Kazakhstan’s ALEM, Michelle Joseph from Mongolia, Uzbekistan’s
Madinabonu Adilova, China’s Zhang HeXuan, and Armenia’s Saro Gevorgyan. The
winner, who will receive the title of Silk Way Star and a chance to step onto the global stage, will be chosen
through a combined voting system: 50
percent from the jury and 50 percent from online audience voting. Viewers can support their favorite contestant at
silkwaystar.org. The finalists are already calling the upcoming broadcast «the most exciting evening of
the year». Organizers promise a big concert, unique
performances, a live orchestra, and plenty of surprises.
«For the finale, I prepared my own very
melodic song, a very beautiful composition about love. I hope many people will
vote for me and support me, and yes, I hope to win. I couldn’t attend all the rehearsals, but I’m staying calm, and I’m sure everyone will
perform well tomorrow – they are all great professionals,» said Saro Gevorgyan, Silk Way Star
finalist from Armenia.
