Kazakh songs were performed in their native languages by participants of the Silk Way Star international contest. The third episode of the project aired last weekend on the “Jibek Joly/Silk Way” TV channel. The highest scores went to the group Kandis from South Korea and Kazakhstan’s representative ALEM, who has maintained his lead after all three rounds. Second place went to Saro Gevorgyan from Armenia, while Avtandil Abeslamidze from Georgia placed third. Meanwhile, Turkmenistan’s representative Dovran Shammyev has left the competition.
«Of course, it’s sad to leave the competition so
early, especially since I had prepared so many performances ahead—different
shows, materials, genres, and directions. At the same time, I feel this is the
beginning of a new chapter in my life. Silk Way Star marked the start of that
chapter, and I’m confident it will continue brightly, as it has inspired many
new ideas, including opportunities for collaboration with our international
friends,» Shammyev said.
