The list of global studios that dub their popular films into Kazakh has expanded to include new names. Following Disney and Pixar, Sony Pictures has also joined in, dubbing the blockbuster «Venom: The Last Dance» with organizational support from the «Qazaq Tili» International Society and funding from the studio.
During the first weekend of screenings in Kazakhstan, the box office for the final part of the trilogy dubbed into Kazakh surpassed 18 million tenge. Notably, other global films released earlier in the state language also achieved record revenues. These figures indicate that Kazakh-language films are in high demand among domestic audiences, and therefore, work on dubbing global film premieres will continue.
«The animated film «Inside Out», previously dubbed into Kazakh by Pixar, received excellent reviews from audiences for its quality, setting a record among dubbed films. The new movie is also unique in its own way; in fact, it is not a children’s film this time but a true modern blockbuster primarily intended for adults,» said Rauan Kenzhekhanuly, President of the «Qazaq Tili» International Society.
