Silk Way Star contestants gear up for filming

All participants of the first Asian vocal contest Silk Way Star have already arrived in Astana. The last to arrive was Malaysian singer Yazmin Aziz. The contestants are actively preparing for filming and stepping onto the big stage. Filming kicks off on August 26. Preparations are in full swing: stylists are creating exclusive costumes for the participants, and musicians are rehearsing the repertoire, as every performance will be live. At the same time, the contestants are giving interviews and recording digital content, offering viewers exclusive behind-the-scenes access.

«We are practising. We are doing dancing practices and other. Everything is fun,  I enjoy the process. The festivals and competitions like these always give the best opportunities and most important friendships from different countries and exploring culture, so it’s only good things,» shared Silk Way Star contestant from Azerbaijan Sabina Zadeh.

«Every participant worked with our team, the editorial team, the styling, dancing and technical team and the musical band. For example, repetitions and rehearsals with the musical band, because we have a live performance and they sing all their songs only in live versions. I think we are prepared to do a very great show and to show it to the audience,» said Sandugash Rakhimzhanova, Creative Producer of Silk Way Star.

The organizers note that the participants and jury members will enjoy a vibrant cultural program with the opportunity to experience the traditions of Kazakhstan. The premiere of the first episode of Silk Way Star will take place on September 20.
