Silk Way Star bridges cultures across countries

A special atmosphere of friendship, creativity, and inspiration surrounds the Silk Way Star project, according to the artists, jury, and production team. The contest, held in Astana, has brought together renowned performers from 12 countries. Participants will showcase not only their vocal talents to a global audience of over a billion viewers, but also the rich cultural traditions of their homelands. Host Shyngys Beibituly noted that preparations and filming are being kept strictly under wraps. Costumes and stage looks created exclusively for each episode of Silk Way Star are not yet permitted to be shared on social media. The suspense will last until the premiere, which promises audiences a dazzling cultural extravaganza.

«There’s a sense of competition on stage, since everyone is representing their own country and wants to win. But backstage, the contestants have already become friends - I can really feel it. I’ve made friends with all of them myself, and the jury is wonderful too. It doesn’t feel like work here - it feels like being surrounded by friendsBeibituly said.

A jury member from Malaysia also praised the spirit of friendship and the project’s high level of organization, noting that such cultural initiatives provide Kazakhstan with additional momentum in advancing on the international stage.

«I met ambassadors around the world. I have promoted Silk Way and I promoted the country, you know, and I feel that I will bring my friends, my family, and also not only that, to bring other nearby Asian countries like Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Cambodia, Singapore, everybody to come enjoy because this year Malaysia has a chair for the ASEAN conferencesaid Dato' Dania Abd Wahab, Silk Way Star jury member from Malaysia.
