Kazakhstan
will host an international scientific and methodological conference, which is
expected to bring together leading turkologists from Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan,
Türkiye, Uzbekistan, and other Turkic states. Scheduled for June 9-11, the
event will take place at the Tanbaly museum-reserve near Almaty, a cultural
site that was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2004. Participants will
discuss prospects for regional cooperation in the study, preservation, and
restoration of Turkic archaeological heritage. The first meeting of the Consultative
Council of Restoration Artists and Historians-Architects under the aegis of the
Foundation of Turkic Culture and Heritage will be held as well. It aims to
preserve, protect, and promote Turkic culture and heritage within and beyond
the Turkic world.
