President Tokayev to deliver annual state-of-the-nation address at joint session of Parliament

On Monday, a new political season will kick off in Kazakhstan. In accordance with the Constitution, YerlanKoshanov, the Chairman of the Mazhilis, a Lower House of the Kazakh Parliament, has signed a decree to convene a joint meeting of the houses of the Parliament on September 2 in Astana. During the session, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will deliver his annual state-of-the-nation address to Kazakh citizens, focusing on the prospects for the country’s political and socio-economic development for the upcoming period.
