Kazakhstan is
committed to further cooperation within the OPEC+ framework, as noted by the
country’s Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov at a meeting with Secretary General of
the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries Haitham Al Ghais.
Bektenov emphasized OPEC’s important role in ensuring the stability of the
global market. The coordinated actions of oil producers and exporters within
the organization help mitigate potential negative impacts and stabilize the
market. According to Bektenov, Kazakhstan supports OPEC’s initiatives and
adheres to production restrictions alongside other countries, including the
current voluntary commitments. Haitham Al Ghais highlighted Kazakhstan’s
influence in maintaining balance and price formation in the oil market. The
country has been a member of the OPEC+ Agreement since 2016, with over 90
subsoil users engaged in oil production in the country.
