There is a steady and positive dynamics of relations between
Kazakhstan and Tajikistan across all sectors. Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart
Tokayev highlighted this during a meeting with Tajik Foreign Minister
Sirojiddin Muhriddin. In this context, President Tokayev emphasized the Treaty
on Allied Relations signed last year, which marked a new milestone in the
multifaceted and fruitful cooperation between Astana and Dushanbe. The Head of
State also underscored the importance of further deepening the strategic
partnership and noted the absence of unresolved issues between the two
countries. Tajikistan’s Foreign Minister, in turn, stated that over the years
of sovereignty, the two nations have built mutually beneficial relations and
close ties. The sides also reviewed the implementation of previously reached
agreements and discussed regional security, water and energy cooperation, and
joint efforts to ensure sustainable development in Central Asia.
