Cooperation between Kazakhstan and China is based on mutual trust, ties of friendship, and good neighborliness, as emphasized by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during a meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan Zhang Xiao. The Head of State noted that the relations between the two countries are exemplary and dynamic, with sustained political dialogue, strengthening trade and economic ties, cultural exchanges, and close cooperation in the field of security. The two countries actively collaborate in the international arena within the UN, SCO, CICA, and the Central Asia-China format. President Tokayev commended Ambassador Zhang Xiao’s personal contribution to strengthening the bonds of friendship and good neighborliness and, in recognition of his merits, awarded him the Order of Dostyk (Friendship) of second degree.
