This year, a total of 19 major
projects are set to be launched in the Aktobe region, as reported to Kazakh
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during his working trip there. Besides, several
investment and infrastructure projects are being developed. For instance, preparation
of the design and estimate documentation for the Aktobe-Karabutak-Ulgaisyn
highway is now underway. There are also plans to commission the third line of
the main gas pipeline Bukhara-Ural in Aktobe. The Head of State was informed
about the completion of the modernization of gas cleaning systems in the
smelting shops of the ferroalloy plant as well. President Tokayev instructed to
expedite the resolution of environmental issues in the Aktobe region.
Overall, around 805 billion tenge
in investments have been attracted to the Aktobe region from the start of the
year, which is 8.2 percent higher compared to the same period in 2022. The
majority of investments are directed toward the manufacturing industry and the
extraction of metal ores. In addition to large infrastructure projects and
plants, the Auyl Amanaty program is now being successfully implemented in the
region. Since the beginning of its launch, farmers have been issued loans worth
6.6 billion tenge, with an additional 12.5 billion tenge in September this
year. As part of the program, mini-greenhouses were built, confectionery shops
and a bakery, dairy and meat processing facilities were put into operation.
“The Auyl Amanaty program has proven
its effectiveness. Thus, we will continue to promote it to ensure success for
as many rural residents as possible. We will provide all necessary support
measures, with particular emphasis on small and medium-sized businesses,” said
the Kazakh President.
