The number of female entrepreneurs in
Kazakhstan is on the rise, comprising 39 percent of rural business owners and
providing steady employment for nearly 10,000 citizens. This was reported by
the organizers of a social project aimed at supporting aspiring entrepreneurs.
Training sessions are now commencing for them in the new season. Following
this, participants must have their business plans approved to receive a grant
ranging from $2,000 to $4,000. A total of 30 grants have been allocated,
available not only to women but also to young people.
«Two small non-governmental organizations are currently engaged in this work. In order to obtain necessary information about state support measures for rural areas and convey it to the regions, it is important to form joint programs in collaboration with public organizations and businesses. All partners should work together cohesively. This will help us to achieve even better results,» said Maira Aissina, chairwoman of the organizing committee at the Rural Women’s Forum in Kazakhstan.
