Pope Francis’ plane takes off from Rome on way to Kazakhstan

The Vatican officially announced the departure of Pope Francis to Kazakhstan. The Vatican News portal called this apostolic visit of the Pontiff  the ‘Pilgrimage of Peace’. The head of the Roman Catholic Church asked for prayers for his journey to Kazakhstan, highlighting that the participation in the Congress would be a good opportunity to meet with many religious representatives. It is reported that Pope Francis’ plane has already taken off from Rome international airport. He is expected to arrive in Nur-Sultan at around 6 p.m. local time. Pope Francis is coming to Kazakhstan at the invitation of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The Pontiff will take part in the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.
