Kazakh boxer Nazym Kyzaibay brought the country its fifth medal at the Summer Olympic games in Paris, winning bronze.

«We thought Nazym would win a gold medal. But the Chinese athlete proved to be a strong opponent. Thankfully, my daughter earned the bronze medal», - said Abai Kyzaibay, father of Nazym Kyzaibay.

«She dreamed of participating in the Summer Olympics and achieved her goal. We are happy that she became an Olympic medalist and won bronze. It’s a great accomplishment», - said Kamshat Akhetkyzy, mother of Nazym Kyzaibay.

Kazakh boxer Nurbek Oralbay will represent the national boxing team in the men's final, fighting for the gold medal against a Ukrainian athlete. In greco-roman wrestling, Demeu Zhadrayev has advanced to the final and will vie for gold against a Japanese athlete. Notably, Kazakh athletes recently competed in five sports. Amir Maimuratov set an Olympic record and reached the quarterfinals in climbing.
