North Kazakhstan to take part in fifth World Nomad Games

In the regions, preparations for the upcoming fifth World Nomad Games are nearing completion. Two horses from North Kazakhstan have been included in the national team, both vying for the top prizes in the horse races. Aquamarine, a five-time Asian championship winner, came first in a 9-kilometer race of the qualifying stage in Almaty. He will compete in the same distance at the international sporting event in the Kazakh capital. The second horse named Kamys Kulak will cover a distance of 11 kilometers in baige traditional horse racing.

 

«Intensive preparation is underway. It has a good appetite. Thats the most important thing for a horse. We hope to achieve victory at the upcoming World Nomad Games and will make every effort for this,» said Evgeny Chibissov, Master of Sports of Kazakhstan in equestrian sports.

 

«The horse named Kamys Kulak is two years oldoriginally from France. He came first in a 10-kilometer race of the qualifying stage in Pavlodar. Now, we are preparing for the fifth World Nomad Games and hope to achieve good results,» said coach Kuanysh Shakhambayev.

 

Athletes from 89 countries are expected to participate in the fifth World Nomad Games which will take place in Astana in September. Currently, each team is honing their skills and abilities to achieve good results at the large-scale event.
