Kazakhstan is set to foster its strategic cooperation with the
United World Wrestling (UWW), as stated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev
during a meeting with UWW President Nenad Lalovic. The Head of State emphasized
that wrestling is an important sport that plays a key role in enhancing Kazakhstan’s
position in the international sports arena. He also commended the achievements
of Kazakh wrestlers who have successfully competed in global tournaments. In turn,
Nenad Lalovic acknowledged the remarkable progress of the Kazakh national
wrestling, highlighting that Kazakhstan’s commitment to building a healthy
nation contributed to these impressive results. The two sides discussed the
expansion of sports infrastructure, the introduction of new training methods,
and the hosting of international competitions in the country. At the end of the
meeting, President Tokayev awarded Nenad Lalovic the Dostyk Order of the II
Degree for his contribution to the development of wrestling in the country.
