Back to classrooms - Kazakh Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov announced today that Kazakh school students will start learning in the traditional format from September 1. The educational process will also be organized for those who were infected with the insidious virus, he said.
“Those children who have contracted coronavirus or whose parents have caught the virus will be temporarily studying in a distance learning format. We will arrange that. In addition to schools, kindergartens with groups of 20 to 25 children will also operate in a traditional format. Vocational education institution and university students will also study offline,” the minister noted.
Meanwhile, general education schools in the country are now completing the final preparations for the academic year. For example, one Shymkent school has renovated classrooms and reinforced sanitary control. Now a pathway to knowledge lies through a thermometer, a facial-recognition turnstile and the Ashyq app. The health status will be checked not only with teachers, but also with parents.
“Our nurse will meet everyone at the entrance. Be it a student, a teacher or a parent, she will measure their body temperature and check their Ashyq status. I can say with confidence that our school is completely ready to work during this difficult period,” said Zhanar Nyssanbayeva, Headmistress of the Symkent school.
Only those teachers who have received the COVID-19 vaccine are allowed to work. To date, more than 93 percent of teachers have been immunized.
