All social obligations of the state, including pensions and benefits, are implemented fully. This was announced at a briefing by Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Serik Shapkenov. According to him, 174 billion tenge (US$399 million) has already been transferred to the accounts of recipients. Due to the state of emergency in the country and Internet disruptions, the minister noted, the deadline for submitting documents for applying to social assistance will be extended. Thus, the Minister indicated that targeted social benefits of the fourth quarter of last year will automatically be extended to the first quarter of this year. The services are provided in a proactive mode, that is, people do not need to personally contact the relevant departments.
“The re-examination of people with disabilities is among the services provided by the ministry. In view of the current situation, the re-examination will continue until the end of the state of emergency in the country. Consequently, these citizens do not need to contact government agencies as everything will be done automatically,” said Serik Shapkenov.
