Tourist police resume work in Pavlodar region

A student from Nigeria Abraham Salako who studies at one of the universities in Pavlodar region decided to visit the most important and beautiful sites of Bayanaul. He learned detailed information about the landmarks of this area from the tourist police. The multilingual employees are ready to tell visitors about the history and culture of the region.

“I came to Kazakhstan as a student to study, and it has always been my dream to look and check around Kazakhstan’s nature and see everything around here. And I would say coming to Bayanaul has been an amazing experience. It’s been great. The mountains, the vegetation, everything around here,” said Abraham Salako, tourist.

In the resort area, the police officers not only work with foreign tourists, but also protect public order and ensure security. They drive electric vehicles and ATVs.

“The season has already begun, we welcome foreign nationals who come here on a vacation from near and far abroad. We help them as much as we can on all matters,” said Ikram Kalenov, inspector, tourist police.

“Today, tourist police officers are on duty at large objects, which are the vivid landmarks of our region. It is the Central Embankment in regional center, and the National Park in the Bayanaul district. The law enforcement officers will take shifts day and night. They will be on duty in the Zhasybai recreation area and in the Toraigyr recreation area. All staff will take shifts for 12 hours,” said Murat Mussatayev, Chief of Police Department, Bayanaul district.

Last year, 70,000 tourists visited this area during the season. A greater influx of visitors is expected this year, including from abroad.
