The Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan conducts a training course for media representatives. Journalists will be familiarized with the principles of covering electoral processes during and after the presidential elections for three days. New rules of electoral legislation will be clarified to press workers as well. The principles of electoral system, election stages, rights and responsibility of correspondents and much more were explained to them today. Overall, more than 65 journalists from all regions of the country are taking part in the seminar.
“We have six training platforms in total. We conduct online seminars for chief editors of media companies, representatives of non-governmental organizations, and also for supervisors. Another in-service platform provides distance learning. Here we are planning to train over 70,000 members of precinct and territorial election commissions,” said Sabila Mustafina, member of the Kazakh Central Election Commission.
