KazPost was ranked among the top 50 operators in the world
by the Universal Postal Union. Logistics optimization increased postal
shipments by a quarter last year, with 20 million parcels processed, nearly
half of which were international. KazPost CEO Assel Zhanassova reported the
company’s 2024 performance to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, noting that over
the past two years, the company achieved net profits and contributed 45 billion
tenge in taxes to the national budget. KazPost continues to modernize its postal
infrastructure, supported by $50 million in investments. Additionally, the
development of the domestic Keruen service is ongoing, providing convenient
access to international marketplaces. Following the meeting, President Tokayev
instructed that efforts to develop the transit and logistics potential for
e-commerce with CIS countries and to implement digital solutions continue.
«As part of enhancing our country’s transit and logistics
potential, we are starting transit shipments to nine CIS countries in
partnership with Cainiao, a subsidiary of Alibaba Group. We are also working
with Japan Post and Toshiba to automate and robotize our warehouse facilities,»
Zhanassova said.
