Kazakhstan could become a priority partner and participating country in the World Bank’s global strategy on digitalization and artificial intelligence, a program aimed at attracting investment into the digital economy. The implementation of joint projects in this area was discussed by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and the World Bank’s Vice President for Digital and AI, Sangbu Kim. Cooperation focuses on developing digital connectivity and infrastructure, improving government platforms, data governance and cybersecurity, as well as advancing the artificial intelligence ecosystem.
«We are so impressed and
inspired by the really good vision of AI and digital development for Kazakhstan
economy. We believe it is really right track for the next level of advanced
economy for Kazakhstan. And we discussed a lot of the new AI projects and new
initiatives such as data centers and some more rural connectivity and so many
AI initiatives so that we can really work together to support Kazakhstan’s AI
new economy for the future,»
Kim said.
