Today, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev discussed
Kazakhstan’s cooperation with the World Health Organization at a meeting with
Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. The talks focused on joint
research in climate and health, as well as the integration of artificial
intelligence into the healthcare system. The WHO Director-General highlighted
Kazakhstan’s economic progress and the successful political reforms implemented
following the adoption of the new Constitution. At the conclusion of the meeting,
he presented a letter confirming that Kazakhstan has been assigned WHO Maturity
Level 3 in medicines regulation. This designation signifies recognition of the
reliability of the national regulatory system. Kazakhstan has become the first
country in the CIS and the fourth in the WHO European Region to reach this
level.
